How it works

  1. Confirm the relevant date

After reading a passport or insurance policy, compare the extracted expiry or renewal date with the original. A mistaken date can produce a mistaken alert.

  2. Review Expiring Soon

Open Expiry Alerts to see documents approaching their relevant dates. Use Open in Vault to inspect the underlying document before taking action.

  3. Schedule a follow-up

Choose Set Reminder for a supported document, select when to be reminded, and confirm notification permissions. Snoozing an expiry alert and scheduling a custom reminder are different actions.

Are reminders a substitute for checking my documents?

No. Keep your own record of important deadlines and verify dates. Notification permissions, device state, and application behavior can affect delivery.

What is the difference between Expiring Soon and Your Reminders?

Expiring Soon is driven by document expiry dates. Your Reminders contains follow-ups you scheduled yourself.

Where can I see the actual screens?

The walkthrough shows real Mac application screens with fictional demonstration documents, including expiry alerts and the Set Reminder dialog.
